BOARD MEETING MINUTES
WEKIVA GOLF VILLAS HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION
MARCH 12, 2019

A board meeting of the Wekiva Golf Villas Homeowners’ Association was held on March 12, 2019 at the Wekiva Golf Villas Community Pool.

John Ewseychik called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. Also present were Steve Tretter, Adam Kwater, Larry Skinner, and Rebecca Warwick. A quorum is achieved.

Larry moves to approve the minutes from the November 14, 2017, February 20, 2018, November 29, 2018, and February 20, 2019 meetings as drafted; Adam seconds. All in favor; motion carries.

Agenda for the evening is to review proposals received from three (3) pool contractors. All proposals contemplate removal of all interior tiles; beam surface removed with 6” tile and stucco type resurfacing; gutters re-done. “No Dive” and depth tiles are not to code and will be modified. All 3 recommended quartz surfacing for the commercial pool surface versus the pebble tech texture, which is too rough and can cause skin irritation.

John recommends Classic Marcite to perform the job at proposed cost of $21,743 with installation of the quartz finishing. This proposal is the least expensive of the three bids. John is familiar with this contractor and has sought out recommendations from commercial pool contractors, which were favorable. Work to obtain permitting can begin next week with entire project to be completed in approximately one month.

John moves for approval of Classic to perform the job based on proposal submitted. Larry seconds; all in favor, motion carries.

Check issued for $7,247 payable to Classic Marcite for initial deposit.

It is agreed that since Barry Wynn will not be maintaining the pool during the time of renovation, we will continue to utilize his services during that time to assist with oversight of the renovation process and provide his input to John as necessary. Barry can also work on maintenance projects such as cleaning exterior of cabana, gazebo, picnic tables and patio furniture.

Roughly $44,000 in accounts at present; this project would leave approximately $22,000 in reserves.

Meeting adjourned 7:35 p.m.
