BOARD MEETING MINUTES
WEKIVA GOLF VILLAS HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION
November 11, 2010

A board meeting of the Wekiva Golf Villas Homeowners’ Association took place on November 11, 2010, at the WGVHA pool on Albrighton, Longwood, Florida.

Steve Tretter, President, called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Also in attendance were Elaine Curran, Andy Williams, John Ewseychik and Shawn Fourez.

The board again discussed the current contract with Dobsons. The board considers that this contract should be canceled due to lack of performance and price. Examples of poor performance include tree-trimming, pest/weed control services, and sod maintenance. Additionally, similar services can be acquired at reduced rates. The initial term of the agreement with Dobsons appears to have ended where simple notice can be given for cancellation.

Shawn Fourez has taken the time to receive additional bid information from three additional vendors; RLC, Massey Services, and Carol King. It is clear that the best bids are from RLC and Carol King. Shawn Fourez will contact these potential vendors regarding pricing for tree-trimming and mulch services. Mr. Fourez will also inquire about any discounts provided if payments are made.

The board has agreed to meet again soon to make a final decision regarding the potential cancellation of the agreement with Dobsons and to formulate a plan for hiring a new vendor. This plan may include a period of time where no vendor is under contract due to the reduced need because of the season.

It is discussed that savings realized due to the cancellation of this agreement could be utilized for several potential projects including pool deck improvements, pavilion roof repair/replacement, and pool tile repair.
