BOARD MEETING MINUTES
WEKIVA GOLF VILLAS HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION
December 20, 2020

Board Meeting 12/20/2020 Meeting began at 5:10 PM

WGVHA Board Members in attendance; Steve Tretter, Larry Skinner, Adam Kwater, and Kenneth Krause (myself). Non-Board Members in attendance: John Carter, WGVHA Webmaster, and Association Member Patrice Burke.

Comfirmed that all WGVHA Meetings require; proper notice to Members, and posting on the Website & pool bulletin board, and a majority of the Board Members present. Regardless of the Coronavirus, at least one Board Member must be physically present with the other Board Members able to hear & participate over a speakerphone.

2021 Budget is main item on agenda. Larry made the motion to reduce the Annual Assessments from $440 to $420. per year and Adam seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. This reduction will reduce the annual incoming funds by approximately $980.

Board Members discussed adding a concrete pad in picnic area which would be easier to maintain than gravel framed by wood. Board agreed to get bids for concrete pad.

For budgeting the Board has a couple current bids to replace roofing on restroom / pump house and flat pavilion roof. They have been inspected and are still functioning okay and no missing or damaged shingles and no leaks. The Board unanimously voted to not replace either of the roofs at this time.

Board Members voted unanimously to prohibit smoking in the pool area as a health & safety issue which should also eliminate the cigarette butt litter. Steve volunteered to supply a sign suitable for posting.

Board Members voted unanimously to replace the two wood picnic tables, which are rotting, with tables made of some sort of rot & weatherproof material (probably recycled plastic lumber material). Larry was approved to move forward with a budget cap of $1000 for the pair.

John Carter asked Board Members their thoughts regarding his discontinuing sponsoring the WGVHA web site due to lack of use. Board members were supportive of keeping the web site and doing better at keeping John up to date for postings & new Member information.
